Love Is Blind's Jessica Batten & Dr Benjamin McGrath Are Ready To Welcome Their First Baby Together

After two years of courtship, Love Is Blind's Jessica Batten and her husband Dr. Benjamin McGrath are set to welcome their first child this June. The couple just announced the exciting news via Instagram with an adorable photo of the two of them announcing their baby’s arrival.

Jessica, who appeared in the hit show Love is Blind season 1, was most famously known for her tumultuous relationship with Mark Cuevas. However, her life couldn't be further from that since she found love with Ben McGrath back in 2020. The couple tied the knot in August after more than two years together, making plans to start a family together soon after.

The reality tv star took to Instagram on Thursday to share her happy news by posting sweet pregnancy photos of them both. Jessica captioned the photo: "New Year, Same Me, New Mom! 🤰✨ Sending the best wishes and blessings your way in 2023🙏✨ We’re excited and humbled to share we will welcome our baby into the world and into our growing family in early June ♥️ Ahh!!!" The posts was instantly filled with well-wishes from her supporters and fellow Love Is Blind stars Giannina Gibelli and Kenny Barnes commenting phrases such as "Omggggg yayyyy congrats!!" along with Ben's sweet comment "Ahhh!! 😂 love you! You’re the cutest little 🤰."

Jessica previously spoke about motherhood back when she appeared on Refinery 29 last summer. There she opened up about how she met Dr. Benjamin McGrath - an orthopedic surgeon - after he contacted her on Instagram back in March 2020: “He actually contacted me on Instagram, and at the time, Instagram was such a tough place for me to go, so I had handed it off to a good girlfriend of mine ...We ended up meeting up one night, and the next day we went on a bike ride, and the rest is history. This was back in March of last year, so it’s been about a year and a half."

In September 2021 Ben proposed marriage which they then followed through with doing so secretly during August of 2022 according to Batten's own post revealing their nuptials: “Mr. & Mrs.,” Batten captioned an Instagram post of photos from the nuptials. She later explained that although they usually had planned for a grand wedding ceremony due to Covid-19 they had decided it would be better if they postponed it until later on that year instead due to travel restrictions as well as family health issues.

Time flies fast as now only months later Jessica's family is expanding even further - this time due to their own baby arriving this June 2021! It looks like everything is going swimmingly for Jessica who seemed taken aback by her own series of events within such short amount of time stating: "I didn’t know this would be in my future." Not only did she find true love but also found herself surrounded by more love still through Ben's two children from his previous relationship (Poppy & Ethan). She mentioned that parenting has already been rewarding for them both saying: "It’s been awesome...It’s a lot of sacrifice but it’s so rewarding".
