Joy & Terrified: Jessie J Reveals Shock Pregnancy News On Instagram
Countless celebrities and fans across the world poured out love and congratulations to Jessie J on her pregnancy announcement. The English singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, broke the news with a heartwarming Instagram video set to her song "Sunflower".
The video begins with some of her earliest pregnancy tests and ends with shots of her growing baby bump. Jessie shared that she was "so happy and terrified" to finally share this news and asked for everyone to be gentle with her throughout this journey. She also jokingly mentioned wanting to "ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating chocolate-covered pickles with no questions asked".
Jessie's pregnancy news has come after she experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage just over a year ago in November 2021. Despite the tragedy, it has put life into perspective for her, as she opened up about during an episode of the Diary of CEO podcast last year. She shared how she did not have anyone to fall apart on during that time and expressed words of support for others who have suffered baby loss on multiple occasions. She also revealed that when she was 26 doctors had told her she might never be able to have children.
The 34-year-old's shocking announcement has sparked several famous faces like Paloma Faith, Stacey Solomon and Kelly Rowland to congratulate Jessie on Instagram. Fellow British artists such as Ellie Goulding also sent their warm wishes saying "You look completely radiant and full of joy." Solomon posted a sweet message saying "Oh Jessie I'm so happy for you. Love you."
Jessie's fans have showered her with endless heartwarming comments on social media, mainly sharing how they were rooting for her since last year's miscarriage news. They are absolutely overjoyed with this new beginning and are cheering from afar as Jessie embarks on this beautiful journey. We wish Jessie J nothing but happiness during this time!
