Kayla Rae Reid On Being A 3x Mom: "I Feel Like I Have My Ph.D In Parenting"

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and model wife Kayla Rae Reid are expanding their family of four to five! The couple, who wed in 2018, announced the happy news of their third baby on the way with a sweet beachside family celebration.

Reid, 31, revealed to Good Morning America on Friday that “Lochte baby #3” is due in June 2023. While they have not yet found out the sex of the baby, they are both overjoyed to have this special time to prepare as a couple.

“This go-round, it’s been really nice to just be able to have him be present,” Reid told GMA. “It’s been this kind of wave of relaxing, ‘Oh my gosh, we can actually enjoy this pregnancy together.'" The expectant mom joked that she only feels fertile once a year and that “we weren't trying but not not trying." The couple is already proud parents of son Caiden, 5, and daughter Liv 3.

The timing couldn't be better as Lochte recently failed to qualify for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo which allowed him more time at home as a hands-on dad. “I feel like the third kid you have the Ph.D., you have survived parenting school," Reid joked on GMA.

The Olympian is set to appear on Peacock's forthcoming competition reality series "The Traitors," also starring other reality stars such as Brandi Glanville and Kyle Cooke from Summer House among others.

Sharing a video montage of their beachside celebration announcing the news on Instagram, Lochte captioned it: "Lochte baby #3 on the way in June again of course!" We can't wait for this little one's arrival!
