Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott Welcome Daughter Halo Marie
Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s family just got a little bigger — and much more special. On Wednesday, December 14, the couple welcomed their second child together, daughter Halo Marie Cannon.
The couple announced the news of their baby girl’s arrival via social media on Thursday, December 29, sharing an emotional video reflecting on welcoming their daughter just one year after the death of their son Zen. The little one died at 5 months old as a result of brain cancer.
“December 14, 2022. Our lives are forever changed ❤️,” Scott captioned her post. “Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us. He shows me signs every day. I will hold onto this memory forever."
The 29-year-old model shared two pictures of her newborn via Instagram shortly after announcing her birth — one showed Halo lying on a white blanket wearing a creme onesie and pink bow while the other captured a sweet close-up of the newborn in her mother’s arms.
Scott also gave fans a sneak peek at Halo’s first photo shoot — which took place when she was just five days old — via TikTok, joking: “Tough work being five days old!” Hours later, she showed off her baby-inspired décor while proclaiming: “So much pink in the house I LOVE IT!”
The Texas native is also mom to 4-year-old daughter Zeela from a past relationship while Cannon is dad to 10 other children with different partners. The 42-year-old actor commemorated his late son Zen earlier this month on the anniversary of his death by sharing an emotional tribute to him via Instagram.
"I can't believe it's been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred," Cannon wrote on December 5th. "Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over."
He continued: "I love hard, I love big and I love with my entire Heart and Soul and I just wish my Little Man could've felt more of that love while he was here on Earth."
We are sure Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott are feeling this same amount of love for their newest addition — Halo Marie!
